Ron Pelson began this business out of his home in 2001 following nine years of experience in commercial and residential projects with other companies. With an A.S. degree from the Phoenix Institute of Technology and over 18 years of experience, he has designed numerous office buildings and private residences throughout the Yakima Valley, including the condominiums and private homes at the renowned Apple Tree Golf Course.
Brad Kessinger came to work for Ron, in 2004, and the two transformed the company into an incorporated partnership in 2005. Brad not only brings over 15 years of design experience to the team but a background in the construction field. He spent more than five years developing his skills as a general contractor and project manager. He was raised in the Yakima Valley and has a sincere appreciation for the values and lifestyles represented here. Together, they make a perfect team!
Amanda began drafting in high school followed by a 13-year tenure at a local design firm before bringing her valuable experience to the Traditional Designs team in the fall of 2011. She has earned her Associate Degree in accounting as well as her Certificate in ASL and provides bi-lingual (English, Spanish) design services to our community. Amanda was born and raised in Yakima and is proudly raising three children here with her husband, Hector.
Clay grew up in Yakima before moving to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He graduated from the University of Idaho with a masters of Architecture in 2015 and shortly after moved back to Yakima before joining Traditional designs in January of 2016. Heis experiences in college include an 8-week study abroad in Italy, a 5-week study abroad in the United Kingdom, and a thesis project centered on revitalizing downtown Yakima. His interests lie in custom homes, historic preservation and urban renewal.
Robert earned his undergraduate degree in Environmental Design followed by his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Buffalo in 2012 before making a move to Yakima with his wife and starting his career with TDi in June 2013. He is nearing completion of the architectural licensure process and brings a valuable architectural perspective and philosophy to our team. Robert is an advocate for our community and is one of the co-founders of the non-profit, education and design+build based Yakima Maker Space. He finds inspiration in simplicity, unique spaces and raw materials which he is currently implementing in his very own 225 square foot micro house design+build project here in Yakima (SHEDsistence.com).
Betsy has been with Traditional Designs Inc. since 2010. She works part-time as our office manager and also at Trendsetters Styling Salon. Betsy has lived in the Yakima Valley all her life. She has worked in customer service for 31 years and enjoys helping clients.
